Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Hodimo app and this website. By using Hodimo you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older.
- Use your real name and keep your account to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in it.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Meeting people
Hodimo helps you find and plan get-togethers, but we don’t organise them, check the people who come, or check the places. Meet in public places when you can, tell a friend where you’re going, and leave if something feels wrong. Hosts are responsible for the events they create.
Be decent
Don’t use Hodimo to:
- harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone
- post anything illegal, sexual, violent or hateful
- sell things, spam or advertise without permission
- pretend to be someone else, or create fake events or reviews
You can report a person, an event or a message in the app. We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You let us store and show it to the people who can see it in the app, only to run Hodimo. When you delete it or your account, we stop showing it, as the privacy policy describes.
Money between people
Hodimo can help you split costs and show the payment details people choose to share, but it doesn’t handle money. Payments happen directly between people, outside Hodimo, and any dispute about them is between those people.
The app itself
We work hard to keep Hodimo running, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what happens at events or between users. We may change or stop features, and we’ll tell you in the app about changes to these terms that matter.
